Pre-Laser Checklist
• Shave the treatment area approximately 24 hours before your appointment. Avoid arriving with long surface hair.

• No waxing, tweezing, threading, or electrolysis for approximately 4–6 weeks before treatment. The hair follicle must remain intact for the laser to target it effectively.

• Avoid tanning and significant sun exposure before treatment. Do not use tanning beds or sunless tanning products on the treatment area.

• Arrive with clean skin. The treatment area should be free of makeup, lotion, oils, deodorant, self-tanner, and topical products.

• Use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ on exposed treatment areas.

• Let us know about any medications or supplements you are taking, particularly medications that may increase light sensitivity. Do not discontinue prescription medication unless instructed by the prescribing clinician.

• Avoid treating over tattoos. Please let your provider know about any tattoos within or near the treatment area.

• Tell us about recent tanning, skin irritation, open wounds, active infections, cold sores, or changes in your health or medications before treatment.

Post-Laser Checklist
• Expect mild redness or swelling. This can resemble a mild sunburn and commonly settles within several hours. A cool compress may be used for comfort.

• Protect your skin from the sun. Avoid intentional tanning and use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ on exposed treated areas.

• Keep skincare gentle for the first few days. Avoid aggressive scrubs, exfoliation, and abrasive cleansers on the treated area.

• Do not wax, tweeze, thread, or pick at shedding hairs between treatments. Shaving is permitted as needed once the skin feels comfortable.

• Allow the hair to shed naturally. You may notice treated hairs releasing gradually over the following days to weeks.

• Avoid irritating the treated skin. If the area feels warm or sensitive, keep it cool and use gentle, fragrance-free products until it settles.

• Contact us if you experience an unexpected reaction, such as significant blistering, persistent swelling, severe pain, crusting, or a concerning change in skin color.

Your results are a process. Consistency with your treatment schedule and proper pre- and post-care are essential for achieving your best laser hair removal results.
